Caption on reverse [translation]: "Dr. Kinoshita, Osaka University oncologist, performs on a first-class stage. (Osaka) August 7, 1939. Ryojun Kinoshita, Professor of Pathology at Osaka University, was appointed to attend the third International Cancer Research Conference and give a speech. The conference will be held this fall in Atlantic City in the U.S. from September 11th to 16th. He received an official invitation on August 7th, and he will be leaving from Yokohama port by the merchant ship Hokuriku Maru on the 15th. Dr. Kinoshita has been studying cancer for the last ten years. There are two major theories, and their conflicts are the center of attention among the academic community. Kinoshita is expected to fight it out with both theories. Shown in the photo is Dr. Kinoshita."
