Caption on reverse [translation]: "Wedding ceremony of athlete Murakoso at Ikuta Shrine in Kobe. (Kobe) February 21, 1940. The world famous long distance runner, athlete Murakoso (36) -- a sales department employee at Kawasaki Aircraft Industries -- was married by matchmakers Masayuki[?] Nemoto, who is the executive of the company, and Mrs. Nemoto, at Ikuta Shrine in Kobe on the 21st from 3 p.m. He married the second daughter of Dr. Ryuichi Kamibayashi, of Ise, Matsushiro, Nagano. Many people from the sports world attended the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony a send-off party was held for the athlete Kensuke Togami, who competes in the triple jump. The photo is Kohei Murakoso and the bride, Yasuko, exchanging nuptial cups."
