Caption on reverse [translation]: "Prime Minister Mussolini Visits Pope. (Rome) Rengo March 5, 1932. The Catholic Pope, a leader of not just the [...] spiritual world but the actual one as well, has been placed in precarious situation by the recent rise of nationalism and material culture. Even though its headquarters of Vatican City and the Italian capital of Rome touch each other, the leaders of the two have not met for 60 years. Fascist Prime Minister Mussolini recently surprised the world by visiting Pope Pius XI at the Vatican to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the signing of the Lateran Treaty and the 10th anniversary of the Pope's enthronement.
