Caption on reverse [translation]: "Inauguration of Mexico's 19th President. (Mexico City) Rengo. The inauguration of Mexico's 19th president, General Lazaro Cardenas was held here on December 1 in the National Stadium. The grand ceremony was undertaken amidst an atmosphere of passionate welcome, with thousands of citizens in attendance. General Cardenas, who turned 39 this year, is the youngest man to ever become president of Mexico, causing there to be high expectations for his future activities. Photograph: Members of General Cardenas' government entering the stadium to cheers and General Cardenas swearing his oath. [written] 1934."
