Historical Society of Long Beach Oral History Collection

An oral history recording with Frances Ishii Lyon and Kiyo Anne Fujimoto, daughters of Frank and Hisa Ishii. Frank Ishii was the first president of the Japanese American Citizens League in Long Beach. The family was first "evacuated"; from Long Beach to Santa Anita race track assembly center, then incarcerated at the Jerome camp in Arkansas. The family returned to Long Beach in 1946.
