CSU Dominguez Hills Okine Collection

A letter from Makoto Okine who is stationed in Italy as a U.S. Army soldier to his father, Seiichi Okine in Hawthorne, California. He informs that he has received a letter from his sister, Hatsuno Hotty Okine, and writes about what he has learned from her. He is glad to learn that Seiichi Okine has returned to Hawthorne, California safely and Reed Kanai has visited the family twice. The letter is mailed via New York by U.S. Army Postal Service. Seiichi Okine records the arrival date and location of the letter, January 2, 1946, Hawthorne, and the replied date, January 7, 1946.
