Nanbu, who worked with Sojin Kamiyama in the movie 'Thief of Baghdad,' returned home with his loving wife Takane, who is known as 'Madam Butterfly' at the Philadelphia Grand Opera, by the ship Wilson, which left Honolulu on the 28th. They returned home after an interval of ten years. Nanbu has not acted since 'Thief of Baghdad,' but Mrs. Takane is known as a most popular dramatic soprano. After the disaster occurred she joined the Tensho team and went to America. During her training she married Nanbu, but she kept training under; however, she appeared at the Philadelphia Grand Opera as a result of her efforts. She received much applause for her performances, especially 'Butterfly.' She was good in Oriental plays.\nThe photo is Mr. & Mrs. Nanbu, who landed at Yokohama today.\"",

A former minister, Admiral Osumi, is going to our southern lifeline, the South Seas Islands, to make on-site inspections. Adjutant Admiral Takao will go with Osumi as far as the Islands. Nippon Yusen steamship Yamashiro Maru sailed for the Islands from the Yokohama wharf at 10 p.m. on the 16th. Hayashi, Chief of [?] of the South Seas, and Otani, a representative of the NYK president, saw off people aboard the Yamashiro Maru. Admiral Osumi talks: 'I have never been to the South Seas. I am just like a first year pupil. I had been busy because of my job, but I hoped to go to the Islands. Now I suddenly have a chance to go because my job at present is easy compared to the job I had before. I have a chance to see what I have studied here. I will conduct a general inspection of islands such as Saipan and Palau. I will be back here on May 12th or 13th.'\"",
