Teru writes to Kei about the hardship of raising children in camp since there is little family structure and her worries about their education. She writes of meeting the Kakekashis again in camp and that William is befriending Hiro Kakekashi. She describes how she is enjoying studying the Bible, English, History, and Civics, and she advises Kei to do the same because she does not want him to lose the ability to communicate with their children since they primarily speak English.
