He also writes about his schedule for returning to the U.S. He is going to be transferred to Zama, Kanagawa, and return to Yokohama, Kanagawa. From Yokohama, he is going to board a ship to return to the U.S, arriving at the end of the month. He assumes that this letter is his last letter from Japan.
