Graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1937 and worked as a waitress at the Tokyo Cafe until 1941. Moved to Spokane, Washington, as part of the \"voluntary evacuation\" period in March 1942. Married husband Ed Edamatsu in 1944 and worked as a domestic until retirement.",
