She asks that he not call her fat and to write to her more often. Teru writes about how lonely the family's been without a letter from him. She describes Minidoka weather as quite cold in the mornings and very dusty. She writes about doctor visits at the camp hospital and a visit from Mr. Hito Ohada who gave her fifty dollars. She describes their room. She writes about her feelings on the war, her faith, and the church in Minidoka.
