    "bioghist": "Shiuko Sakai was born in Washington State in 1923.  During WWII she and her family were moved to the Puyallup Assembly Center and later to Minidoka.  In 1945 with the assistance of the War Relocation Authority Sakai moved to New York City and was living in an apartment.  At this time Sakai decided to join a friend working for the Department of the Army in Occupied Japan.  She traveled by ship to Japan in December of 1946 and began working at the NYK Building in Tokyo as an Administrative Assistant for Army Intelligence.  She worked in Japan for 6-7 years for Army Intelligence and the United States Embassy.",
