    "description": "Nisei female. Born August 5, 1924, in Sacramento, California. Grew up in Sacramento and Los Angeles. During World War II, removed to the Manzanar concentration camp, California, and transferred to the Jerome concentration camp, Arkansas. (This interview was conducted by sisters Emiko and Chizuko Omori for their 1999 documentary, Rabbit in the Moon, about the Japanese American resisters of conscience in the World War II incarceration camps. As a result, the interviews in this collection are typically not life histories, instead primarily focusing on issues surrounding the resistance movement itself.)", "breadcrumbs": [ { "idpart": "cid", "model": "collection", "api_url": "http://ddr.densho.org/api/0.2/ddr-densho-1002/", "label": "1002", "url": "http://ddr.densho.org/ddr-densho-1002/", "id": "ddr-densho-1002" }, { "idpart": "eid", "model": "entity", "api_url": "http://ddr.densho.org/api/0.2/ddr-densho-1002-8/", "label": "8", "url": "http://ddr.densho.org/ddr-densho-1002-8/", "id": "ddr-densho-1002-8" } ], "contributor": "Emiko and Chizuko Omori Collection", "language": [ "eng" ], "extent": "01:52:29", "genre": "interview", "_fields": [ "id", "record_created", "record_lastmod", "status", "public", "sort", "title", "description", "creation", "location", "creators", "language", "genre", "format", "extent", "contributor", "alternate_id", "digitize_person", "digitize_organization", "digitize_date", "credit", "rights", "rights_statement", "topics", "persons", "facility", "chronology", "geography", "parent", "signature_id" ], "narrator_id": "18", "digitize_date": "2005-04-04 00:00:00.0", "record_lastmod": "2018-07-05T16:19:01", "digitize_person": "Dana Hoshide", "role": "", "record_created": "2016-11-01T12:24:20", "creation": "March 20, 1994", "location": "San Francisco, California", "status": "completed", "credit": "Courtesy of Emiko and Chizuko Omori", "alternate_id": "[denshouid: denshovh-haiko-02]", "digitize_organization": "Densho", "rights": "cc", "creators": [ { "namepart": "Herzig-Yoshinaga, Aiko", "id": "18", "role": "narrator" }, { "namepart": "Emiko Omori", "role": "interviewer" }, { "namepart": "Chizu Omori", "role": "interviewer" }, { "namepart": "Emiko Omori and Witt Mons", "role": "videographer" } ], "format": "vh" }
