Before moving to Washington in 1988, he was a psychotherapist in California and co-founder of the East-West Counseling Center. Currently he is a professor of Psychology at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. After the war ended and the camp was nearly empty, went into a prolonged and difficult labor, requiring that the staff reopen the hospital and she and her husband stay at Gila River after everyone else had left.
